The draft fixtures for the 2025-26 NVL season have now been released by Volleyball England – with teams having until 17th July to propose any alterations.

The fixtures have been published on VolleyZone and on the website here, where you can use the filters to view your clubs matches.

To suggest changes, which must be agreed with the opposing team(s) in the fixture concerned, please use your VolleyZone account.

Key steps in the fixture confirmation process

1. Listing your team contact information:

Check that your team has the correct team contact information listed on the 25-26 team roster so teams can communicate alterations. (support video here).

2. Reviewing your draft fixtures:

Volleyball England has produced a Google Sheet which displays all 1,248 fixtures.  This can be downloadedThis sheet will be updated every Monday and Thursday by the Hub team.

3. Confirming and altering your fixtures:

The following three details need to be updated to confirm a fixture: (support video here)

  • The start time.  This has been set by default as 00:00. Please note that the start time on VolleyZone should be the start time of the match, not the warm-up time.
  • The date
  • The location

Division 3 teams should please note that if you are hosting a triangular it is your responsibility to confirm the ‘a,b and c’ fixtures.

Once all changes have been made the home team must confirm the fixture on VolleyZone and the away team must approve the fixture on VolleyZone and press submit.

All fixtures need to be confirmed by 17th July 2025 after this date any fixtures that need changing will need approval from the Competitions Working Group.

How the draft fixtures were generated

Firstly, a thank you to everyone that completed the fixture preference form, where the number grew from 67 to 90% of NVL teams.

Following the feedback from last year’s draft fixtures Volleyball England has reconsidered the most important elements for teams:

  • Firstly, it has been ensured fixtures are listed on the day of the weekend the home team wanted to host.
  • Secondly, the home double headers which were requested were maximised.
  • Thirdly, there has been an attempt to offer away double headers
  • Finally, clashes with other national competitions have been minimised.

It is also worth noting that fixtures have been released four weeks earlier to avoid the facility closures over the summer holidays, while the fixture confirmation process has been extended by two weeks in comparison to the 24-25 season.

Limitations faced in creating fixtures

  • A double header could not always be accommodated if home teams could not host on consecutive days. For example, if, in a double header request involving Loughborough/Nottingham, both teams could only host on a Saturday.
  • For Division 3 triangulars, the host team could not always be the central team in location due ensuring teams host an equal number of triangulars.
  • Because of the above constraints, fixtures are not able to alternate between home and away.
